Our mission
Originally established in 2023, The Friends of Upward Bound UK is a registered charity providing financial support to ensure young people can access quality out of school activities.
Our mission is to support the educational and personal achievement of young people. We aim to support organisations to provide quality purposeful provision and activities to ensure disadvantaged children and young people have the skills and knowledge to progress and find employment.
We do this through funding, service development, partnership work and management and governance
Our Objectives

We fund organisations that support positive outcomes for young people for delivery: continue to support quality services and achieve outputs and outcomes for stakeholders.

We support new development of services in response to the needs of the young people in London.

We work in partnership with local statutory, voluntary and community groups to achieve mutual aims. To maintain and develop good relationships with local commissioners of services.

We ensure efficient and effective management, governance, and administration functions.

We ensure our financial viability by raising revenue through grants and partnership working.
